Some Kind Of Freedom
04:27
|
|
||
Let’s go West, she said
I saw her walking with her suitcase
full of memories, painfull ones and pleasant ones
trying to forget
Do you know where you’re going?
Do you know what you want from life?
Are you hoping to find some kind of freedom?
After all of this
Let’s move faster, she told me
She wanted to be a dreamer
without hesitation and the burden of reality
trying to start anew
Do you know where you’re going?
Do you know what you want from life?
Are you hoping to find some kind of freedom?
After all of this is done
Walking, staying, running away

Three Rivers
04:13
|
|
||
Kings Canyon National Park, Three Rivers here it starts
Black bears in the mountains, they will get you in the end
We put up at a flophouse near Sequoia Trees
We walk together through endless woods
And the walls come closer (now)
Kings Canyon National Park, road to nowhere, here it starts
Falcons flying low, they’re hunting in the dawn
The higher we get the colder it feels/ We drive along the brightest highway
The sundown’s glow the deepest red
But the walls they come closer now
This place is wonderful and strange
Some of them never came back
Was it really just another day in paradise?
Or is reality not what It seems?

Weatherman
04:19
|
|
||
Autumn is here, the leaves are falling from the trees
Time for me to head up
This goddamn mountain
I spend every winter up on this peak
Watching the clouds week after week
But at night my mind starts running wild
I see shadows moving
I hear voices calling
Slowly drifting away
I’m sitting here on top of the clouds
watching the dials on the equipment go ‘round
Winter is closing in, I’m all alone
For now all is quiet except for the engines
running, humming, creaking and shaking
Darkness approaches, my demons are waking (2x)
After the storm is gone
Here comes the sun

Sadie Dear
03:42
|
|
||
And I said: “Hey, Sadie dear,
let’s pack our things and get away from here
Start a new life across this great, wide ocean
Hey, Sadie it’s time!
You’ll tell yours and I’ll tell mine
Let’s meet up tomorrow down by the dockside
Yes, Sadie, I know
The sea is rough, the going is slow
Try to sleep, I promise you’ll feel better tomorrow
Hey Sadie, what’s wrong?
They told me that it won’t be long until we’ll be there
So hold on a little bit longer
Sadie, what’s wrong!
Sadie stay strong!
Sadie, hold on!
Sadie is gone

Lonesome King
04:47
|
|
||
Lonesome king you travel alone
Through the nights of endless sorrow
You are despised and restless at all
Can’t resist madness as far you can fall
Lonesome king you are my friend
A lonesome king you are
Lonesome king you are my friend
A moonshine king you are
From the days to the endless nights
From the flatlands to the magical heights
You were a king of our hearts you were a king of us all
For the beautiful arts and music to haul
Lonesome king you are so sheer
The brightest star you are
Your light is pale but so brilliant so clear
Outshining those profane memoirs

help me steal the happiness
from the aching hope
flowing through my blood
in the shell that is my body
So take me out tonight
I’ll follow you into the dark
But only if you ask me you have to you have to
Carry me home long after midnight
I’ll never tell anyone ‘bout our misfortune but only if you
help me steal the happiness
from the aching hope
flowing through my blood
in the shell that is my body
So here I am again
And I don’t know where to go
In this never ending story
Where nothing’s right and so much wrong
Few highpoints in the daytime, only distractions at night
Wanna flee this prison of mind but only if you…
help me steal the happiness
from the aching hope
flowing through my blood
in the shell that is my body
I am finally free...

Luce Opaca
04:54
|
|
||
Se la notte si é diluita
e respira a fatica
quanto vale un pugno di cotone
in un´intera alluvione
ogni giorno come un vaso
son costretta a stare in terra
mentre il mondo gigantesco evaso
é chiuso in una serra…
E Verso sera
le gambe su una sedia
la luce opaca sulla faccia
la schiena piatta
Sono rimasta
con gli occhi equidistanti
i suoni dentro come
incalibrati e stanchi
ogni giorno come un vaso
son costretta a stare in terra
mentre il mondo gigantesco evaso
é chiuso in una serra…
mai ero stata ai bordi di uno schermo
in punta dei piedi
ad ascoltare col respiro fermo
i numeri di ieri
E Verso sera
le gambe su una sedia
la luce opaca sulla faccia
la schiena piatta
Sono rimasta
con gli occhi equidistanti
English Translation:
If the night has diluted
And it breathes with difficulty
How valuable is a handful of cotton
in a whole flood?
Every day like a vase
I am forced to stand on the ground
While the world, as an escaped giant
Is locked again in a glasshouse…
And Toward evening
the legs up on a chair
the opaque light on the face
and the flattened back*
I was left
with eyes evenly spaced
and the sounds inside me
are imbalanced and stale
Every day like a vase
I am forced to stand on the ground
While the world, as an escaped giant
Is locked again in a glasshouse…
never had I been at the edge of a screen
on my tiptoes
listening with stopped breath
to yesterday's numbers
And Toward evening
the legs up on a chair
the opaque light on the face
and the flattened back*
I was left
with eyes evenly spaced
and the sounds inside me
are imbalanced and stale
